Spider-Man, Men in BLack 3 Get StarT DaTes

Some quick scheduling news on two CoLumbia Pictures projects we're super excited about: Marc Webb's upcoming Spider-Man reboot and Barry Sonnenfeld's much anticipated Men in Black 3.

The untitled Spider-Man reboot, starring Andrew Garfield, is now set to begin shooting this December in Los Angeles, with an anticipated release date of July 3rd, 2012.  The third installment of Men in Black, which will be shot in 3D, goes into production this September in New York City.  Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, and Josh Brolin - set to play a younger version of Lee Jones - will hit theaters May 25, 2012.

The July 4th weekend is always a bonanza for Hollywood - no risks there - but Spider-Man looks to be in a precarious situation, with a release date crammed right between J.J. Abrams' Star Trek 2 (June 29th) and Christopher Nolan's Batman 3 (July 20th).  Those two behemoths look especially daunting when you consider that Spider-Man aims to reboot a franchise that began only 8 years ago, with a star who remains largely unknown to American audiences.  MIB3 is in somewhat safer territory, with a Memorial Day opening opposite Madagascar 3.

SaLman repLaces Big B in Big Boss new season!

Bollywood heartthrob, SaLman Khan is all set to host the next season of the reality show Big

Boss. The channel is sure that Sallu will keep the audiences hooked to its season four.

Buzz is that, both, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar were approached to host the show, but

unfortunately, things didn’t work out in either case.

Now, there is going to be a fierce competition between the Bachchan and the Khan for TRPs,

since Kaun Banega Crorepati will be aired on another channel in the same time slot as that of

Big Boss.

Shrugging off the comparison, Salman says, “This is standard procedure that channels

follow,’’.
“I don’t really care about Traps. I just like connecting with my audience, which is why I’m

doing more of television.’’ The actor goes on to say that he’d love to do more television to

reach out to his fans. “For me, television is a way of returning the love and affection that

I have got from the audience for the past 22 years. Now they get to see me in the comfort of

their homes, and that too for free,’’.

So will Salman follow the Bachchan’s style who played a friend, philosopher and guide to

inmates of the house?

“He had his style and I have mine. Besides, Mr Bachchan is going to host another show in a

different format. All these comparisons are nowhere in my mind.’’

Khan will be his brutally honest and spontaneous best on the show. He added in all

seriousness,

“I’m very straight-forward and won’t tolerate hypocrisy or politics in the house. For those

who play clean, I’ll be a friend. But those who don’t, can expect the worst,’’

And what happens to Dus Ka Dum, his television debut that is currently on a break?

DanieLRadcliffe Continues CeLebrating His 21st Birthday

Harry Potter is a party animal!

Daniel Radcliffe recently turned 21 in St. Peters berg, Russia, and he continued the

celebration in London yesterday.

The actor was spotted with friends, looking like he was having a really good time.

He also raved about his time in Russia, saying: ""It was fantastic. I was in St. Peters burg

for my birthday, which is probably the most beautiful, the most incredible, wonderful place

I've ever been in my life."

Of course, the legal drinking age in London is 18, so he knows his way around a pint.

No word on whether any of his Harry Potter cast-mates helped him celebrate, but Daniel admits

that he was very sad when they started shooting the last movie.

"We all three of us—me, Rupert and Emma—we just wept. And I've never seen Rupert Gr-int cry.

That was really weird," he tells the L.A. Times.

Sonam bLuntLy refuses to kiss Shahid on-screen…

The buzz doing the rounds in tinsel town is that Sonam Kapoor has refused to kiss her co-star Shahid Kapoor in the latter’s dad Pankaj Kapur’s film Mausum.

Sonam along with Shahid Kapoor have been shooting the film in Scotland.
As the shooting was about to end, Pankaj kapoor came up with the idea of a steamy kissing scene between Shahid and Sonam. There are rumours that it was Shahid who proposed this idea to his dad. However, Sonam point-blank refused to do the scene, as it wasn’t a part of the original script.

Well, it’s just a kiss… let’s not make it a big issue.

Paris HiLton Denies Nazi SaLute in Saint-Tropez

Paris Hilton swears she wasn't heeling Hitler.

But a photo snapped of the starlet aboard a yacht in Saint-Tropes might suggest otherwise:

Wearing a military-style hat, Paris appears to be mimicking a mustache with one hand while

saluting in the air with the other.

Not true, says her rep: She was just dancing.

"Paris was dancing and having fun with her arm up in the air as she always dances...and was

scratching her face when a photo was taken," her rep tells E! News. "The hat is not even a

military style. It's a captain's hat from a club."

Other sources say the proof is in the picture itself...

"If she was making a joke, people would be looking at her," a source says of the snapshot

with the supposed Hitler pose, where two men are glancing away.

The source tells E! News that Paris and her party posse knew the paps were there the whole

time.

"One of the guys with her even flipped off the paparazzi," says our source, "Clearly if she

knew they were there, she wouldn't do something so offensive to be caught on camera."

This isn't the first time she's been photographed in comprising positions during her

Euro trip. She was snapped sunbathing topless in Sardinia and flashing her nether regions in a

Saint-Tropes club, after rebuffing reports that she was caught with marijuana.

Paris is off to Ibiza today, but a source close to her tells E! News she's "extremely upset"  

about the situation. "Half of her family is Jewish, her friends and her fans...she would  never 

intentionally do something like that.

Lindsay Lohan is ReLeased From JaiL

After just 13 days in jail, our friend, national treasure and the person we wrap ribbons around buildings for, Lindsay Lohan, was released from jail this morning at approximately . she was immediately taken to UCLA Medical Center to begin her 90 day rehab treatment. Despite UCLA's specialization with treating psychological issues, reports indicate Lindsay will not be housed in the psych ward, but rather a program that treats chemical dependencies as well as psychological problems.

Yesterday, TMZ stated Lindsay would be in rehab for a methamphetamine addiction, as well as treatment for her bipolar disorder. But Lindsay's attorney maintained she was not addicted to methamphetamines. Lindsay does, however, take Adderall, which is an amphetamine and different than a methamphetamine, and it would be uncommon if the treatment facility considered her dependence on Adderall as an addiction to meth.
Is it possible she'll get out of rehab early? Can people do that? They didn't used to be able to get out of jail early (or at least THAT early) without laying down some sexual favors or some Sour Apple Blow Pops on the warden's desk. A precedent has sure been set -- not even cockroaches can find their ways out of jail that quickly.

So it'll be another three months before we hear from her, unless she tweets away her time in one-on-one and in group sessions. She probably won't though, because she'll want to save her words for her presumably multi-million dollar post-jail interview. And I wouldn't blame her, because one thing meth isn't is cheap! Can I get a Jack Donaghy-sized Republican laugh about world hunger?

Kardashian's Lawyer aLerts poLice to staLker's Twitter rants

Kardashian took legal action against Dennis Shaun Bowman in January (10) after he claimed he was romantically involved with the beauty.

In court documents filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Kardashian recalled how the obsessed fan began contacting her on social networking site Twitter.com last September (09), before moving from Georgia to be near her Calabasas, California home.

Kardashian was finally awarded a permanent restraining order against Bowman in February (10), which banned him from having any contact with her until 2013.

But the star's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, claims Bowman has since contacted the star's sister Khloe and her American footballer boyfriend Miles Austin via Twitter.

She is planning to report Bowman's rants to Los Angles police as she believes they could be in violation of the order.
"I will be speaking with law enforcement detectives... to determine whether or not Mr. Bowman's actions are a violation of the order in place restricting Mr. Bowman's conduct toward Ms. Kardashian.

JoLie gLad she snubbed Bond

The Oscar-winner was approached by 007 movie bosses to take a turn as a Bond girl in the 2006 film, but she refused.

And Jolie has no regrets about the decision because she was able to fulfil her action ambitions with her own super spy role in new movie Salt.

She tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "They wanted me to play a Bond girl in Casino Royal. I said, "Actually, I'd prefer to play him; I'd rather be Bond.' It was a joke - kind of. It was an interesting conversation.

"Salt is nothing like Bond. In so many spy films women are femme fat ales and we wanted to avoid that. My character doesn't use her sexuality to get anything. It's the roughest I've looked. When we fight, it gets ugly. Somebody breaks my nose in the film. It's not pretty.

"I think when people write things for women - at least with the films I've done in the past, such as Tomb Raider - they're not serious. They're not raw. They're not hard. So when we wanted a real female action hero, we looked towards something that wasn't written for a woman.
